Saw some matching triangles at HNL.
We were staying in Kona so our first stop was a walk around downtown Kona, this area had a lot of souvenir shops. I loved the roofs matching with the ground tile.
Kona Farmers market, a good mix of locals and tourists, produce and souvenirs.
Lauren, Ashley, and I arrived first, while Nick and Allie joined us later. We got some fruits for the weekend.
Family of strangers seaside.
Hulihe‘e Palace.
On the Ka'Awaloa hike also known as Captain Cook Monument Trail.
Nick jumps off of South Point Cliff Dive as Allie watches. I went after after him and it took me a couple minutes of hesitation before taking the plunge. Allie took 3 secs.
Guy poses with his catch, presumably.
We did the Kīlauea Iki & Crater Rim Trail at Volcanoes National Park.
‘Ōhi‘a lehua.
This was my second time doing this hike (the first time was October 2022) and this time it was drizzling and we were dong it at sunset. On the way down, we were facing the sun and the mist created this otherworldly effect or how I would imagine it would be like on Venus. As we crossed the crater, we look back and we saw the most amazing rainbow we've ever seen, almost a full circle!
From Pu'u Kalepeamoa, a 10 minute hike from the visitor's center.
One of my favorite shots of this trip, looks like a band photoshoot. Love the reds on Lauren's dress.
Rainbow Falls
Last Stop at Honomu Goat Dairy where they allow you to hand feed the goats. Everyone had a run to see who can be the best goat trainer!
